The Power of Self Care
Boost Your Immunity
Take time to recharge, replenish your energy. Taking vitamins can be helpful if it helps you feel better. You will need love, lots of love to maintain your health. Self- love can be the greatest generator of health. You will need daily routine of exercise if you can, good nutrition, rest and relaxation, a deeper purpose and meaning in life. Relaxing in nature can boost immunity. Nature is more than food. It is food for the soul. Nature is medicine.
Relaxation Exercise
Find a tranquil place where you won't be disturbed.
Lie down or sit in an armless chair with your legs uncrossed and your arms at your sides.
Close your eyes, inhale slowly and deeply.
Pause a moment. Then exhale slowly and completely.
Allow your abdomen to rise and fall as you breathe.
Now, calm the breath
Repeat 3 times or more.
You now feel calm, comfortable, and more relaxed.
As you relax, your breathing will become slow and even.
BODY SCAN from Feet to Top of The Head: Mentally Say:
"My feet are relaxing. They are becoming more and more relaxed.
"My feet feel heavy."
Then rest for a moment here.
Then feel and relax the ANKLES TO THE TOP OF THE HEAD:
Relax your ankles, "I relax my ankles"...Pause
"I relax my lower legs and thighs."... Pause to feel the sensations of relaxation in your muscles.
"I relax my pelvis."...Pause
"I relax my abdomen."...Pause
"I relax my back."...Pause
"I relax my chest."...Pause
"I relax my fingers and hands."...Pause
"I relax my neck."... Pause
"I relax my jaw, allowing it to drop and relax the tongue...Pause
"I relax my cheeks and my eyes... Pause
"I relax my forehead and the top of my head."
Now just rest. Allow the whole body to relax.
You are now in a calm, relaxed state of being.
DEEPEN The Relaxed State by counting backwards:
Breathe in slowly; as you exhale say to yourself,
"Ten. I am feeling relaxed."
Then calm the breath...
Inhale again, and as you exhale, mentally say,
"Nine. I am feeling more relaxed."
Calm the breath...
Inhale again, and as you exhale, mentally say,
"Eight. I am feeling even more relaxed."
Pause...
Inhale...Exhale...mentally say "Seven, I am more relaxed."
Inhale...Exhale... "Six. Even more relaxed..."
Inhale...Exhale... "Five" pause...
Inhale...Exhale... "Four" pause...
Inhale...Exhale... "Three" pause...
Inhale...Exhale... "Two" pause...
Inhale...Exhale... "One" pause...
Inhale...Exhale... "Zero" pause...
You are now at a deeper and more relaxed level of awareness.
This is the level at which the body feels healthy, the mind feels peaceful and open.
A level at which you can experience images in your mind more clearly and vividly than ever before.
You can stay in this relaxed state as long as you like...
To return to your ordinary consciousness, slowly open your eyes, gently move your fingers and toes.
Nurture A Good Feeling Neuropeptides
Neuropeptides (nerve proteins) are chemicals that regulate almost all life processes of our cells and way communicate with each other. It is produced in the brain and throughout the whole body such as endorphins (our happy hormones) etc.
